WWI U.S M1917 Bayonet by Remington

The M1917 bayonet was used first during World War I by American soldiers on the Western Front. A sword bayonet design, the M1917 bayonet design was based on the British P1907 bayonet, which incorporated a long 17-inch blade. While designed primarily for the M1917 rifle the bayonet was fitted for use on all the "trench" shotguns at the time.

This is a very good example of a U.S M1917 bayonet manufactured by Remington.

Complete with it's original olive green leather scabbard and brown leather frog.

Norwegian Krag Jorgensen M1894 Long Bayonet
This is the long version of the Krag Jorgensen M1894 bayonet and is not easy to find as most M1894 bayonets were shortened during WW2. This bayonet was made at Kongsberg Arsenal and has the Crowned 'K' on the blade. It has matching numbers of "124777" on both the crossguard and scabbard lip. The grips are slab wood and secured with a single screw bolt, it has a push button bayonet release which operates as it should. The blade measures 37cm long and is clean with fullers extending to within 4" of the tip. The steel scabbard is in very good undented condition

Complete with with its original frog.

A very good example of a hard to find bayonet.

2nd Pattern French M1892 Bayonet

A 2nd pattern French M1892 for the 8mm Mannlicher Berthier artillery carbine.

This is a original 2nd pattern M1892 bayonet with a 40cm polished steel blade, riveted wood grips, long muzzle ring and hooked quillon.

The wood grips are undamaged and the pommel release button works as it should, blade is in good condition with just some light dots of staining, some pitting to scabbard and hilt.

WW1 British 1907 Pattern Bayonet by Wilkinson Dated 1917
This is an original 1907 pattern bayonet for the Enfield rifle manufactured in 1917 by Wilkinson. 

The ricasso is stamped with the maker name 'WILKINSON'  and Kings Crown over '1907' (Pattern) & '6 '17 date ( June 1917).

The 17 inch blade is clean and undamaged and the wood slab grips are in good undamaged condition.

It is complete with it's original steel mounted black leather scabbard.

All in good condition.

Finnish M1928 Civil Guard Bayonet
A rare Finnish M1928 Mosin Nagant, Civil Guard bayonet maker marked ‘Hackman & Co’
The primary Civil Guard inspectors marking of (KE) is found on the cross guard. These initials stand for Kosti Eakola who was the chief inspector of the Civil Guard at the SAKO facility until 1933. Most if not all m/28 bayonets will bear this inspectors proof. The polished steel, fullered blade measures just over 11 3/4" (30cm) and is in good clean condition as are the smooth riveted wooden grip panels. The steel scabbard still retains all of its original paint and is also in very good condition.

A very good example of a P1907 Australian SLME bayonet with 17 inch single edged, blued, fullered blade. Forte stamped “MA1907” and “3-42” for the manufacture date March 1942. Blued crossguard and pommel. Wooden slab grips. Contained in its steel mounted 1941 dated black leather scabbard.

WW1 M1898 / 05 G98 Butcher Bayonet by Schleutermann
This is a very good example of a 1917 dated Imperial German Pattern 1898/05 Butchers Bayonet for the Gew. 98 Mauser Rifle.

The ricasso is stamped with the maker details of 'SCHLEUTERMANN REMSCHEID'

The back spine of the blade is stamped ' W 17' for the date1917 with the Imperial Crown and the crossguard is stamped with the serial number '457a'.

The blade is in excellent clean condition as are the original wood grips.

The steel scabbard has matching serial number '457a' and is also in excellent condition.

WWII Japanese Arisaka type 30 Bayonet & Scabbard
A Japanese type 30 bayonet for the Arisaka type 30 rifle.
The 40cm bright steel blade with manufacture symbols to ricasso of the Aisan Kogyo Arsenal under Nagoya supervision.
Bayonet with hooked quillon, slab wood grips and birds head pommel with serial number '82574'. The original steel scabbard is undamaged and is retaining most of it's original blued finish.

Bayonet is in good condition with just some light pitting.

WWII Finnish M35 Mosin Nagant Bayonet

WWII Finnish M1935 Mosin Nagant bayonet and steel scabbard.

The bayonet ricasso is stamped ‘Sk.Y’ and the cross guard ‘S’ indicating that this bayonet was accepted for service with the Finnish Civil Guard. The bayonet has a steel pommel with blued push release button. It has superb birch burl wood grip panels secured with two screw bolts. It has a steel down turn quillion. The polished steel, fullered blade measures just over 11 3/4" and is in excellent condition, it is also stamped to the ricasso with the makers stamp, ‘Hackman & Co’. The steel scabbard still retains all of its original black paint and is also in excellent condition.

WWII German K98 Mauser bayonet with matching serial numbers scabbard.
The blade is stamped on the ricasso, 'cof 41' (indicating production by Waffenfabrik Carl Eickhorn, Solingen) and on the other side the serial number '5606 g'.
The scabbard is also stamped 'Cof 41' and '5606 g'.
In totally original untouched condition with the blade retaining virtually all of its original bluing.
Complete with it's original black leather frog.

A well finished, high quality Swiss bayonet for the Swiss SIG Stgw (Sturmgewehr) 57 assault rifle, manufactured from 1957 to 1983.
The 24cm blade is stamped with "W" above serial number, indicating that it was made by the Swiss knife manufacturer Wenger.

U.S M1913 Remington Bayonet
Stamped with the date 8. 17 for August 1917, British proof markings crossed out and a US stamp added.

This bayonet was originally manufactured by Remington for the British during WW1 but due to shortages of bayonet for the United States, Remington re-directed all undelivered British production to the U.S military for their own use in WW1.
Bayonet with original clean finish to blade, some light rust to hilt and bottom of scabbard.
In overall good condition.

British SLR Bayonet L1A4
The L1A4 bayonet was introduced into British military service during the 1970s to replace the L1A3 bayonet.

The L1A4 differs from the L1A1, L1A2, and L1A3, by having the pommel secured to the tang by rivets. The pommel was brazed to the tang on earlier marks.

This is a good example of a L1A4 manufactured by Hopkinson Ltd., Trimils Works, Sheffield.

12" overall length. Complete with its original black steel scabbard.

The L1A4 is less common than the earlier A1, A2 and A3 bayonets

British No7 MK1/L Bayonet 
A British No7 MK1/L Bayonet & Scabbard with swivelling pommel to fit the Lee Enfield No4 rifle and the Sten MKV sub machine gun . The No7 Mk1 was only produced from 1944-48 and only issued to selective units.
The 12.5” bayonet has a 8” fullered bowie knife style blade and is fitted with brown undamaged Tufnell grips.
The blade is stamped at the ricasso “No7 MK1/L” (the letter "L" denotes Land Service).
Comes with original black painted steel scabbard.
All in very good condition.

WWII German K98 Bayonet 42 ffc
WWII German K98 bayonet, scabbard and leather frog, with matching serial numbers, date and maker.
The bayonet ricasso is stamped on one side ‘42 ffc’ (for the date 1942 and the maker Friedrich Abr. Herder und Sohn, Solingen) and the serial number 3288 on the other side.

Metal scabbard also stamped 3288 and 42 ffc

Spanish M1893 Artillery Sword Bayonet
A Spanish M1893 Sword bayonet and black leather scabbard for the 7mm Mauser short rifle. It has wooden chequered grips secured with two screw bolts. The pommel is steel and incorporates a push button release. The cross guard is steel and has a muzzle ring. 
The ricasso has traces of the correct markings of 'Artilleria FCA Nacional' on one side and a serial number "6416 B" on the other. 
It has a 15 1/2" long, polished steel single edge blade which is fullered.

M1894 Norwegian Krag Jorgenson Bayonet
Totally original, unmodified Norwegian M1894 Krag Jorgenson Bayonet with matching numbers scabbard and rare original frog.
The 1894 bayonet was the standard when Norway was overrun by the Germans in 1940, and it continued to be produced for issue to German second-line troops and security troops during the occupation.
This is an unmodified M1894 Krag Jorgenson bayonet with a clean 21.5cm blade, wood grips, no muzzle ring and a leaver-type “Krag” locking mechanism.

Portuguese M1904 Bayonet
An excellent condition M1904 Portuguese Mauser Bayonet & Scabbard. Manufactured by Simson & Co, Suhl. The M1904 bayonets were made 1904–1909 by Simson & Co. of Suhl, Germany. Approximately 75,000 were made, before Portugal ran out of money to continue production.
28.2cm blade 40.5cm overall length. Comes with its original blued steel scabbard.
