1919 Liverpool City Police Riots Presentation Truncheon

15” heavy wood truncheon with manufactures stamp “W Dowler & son Birmingham and silver ring "Liverpool City Police Riots, August 1919"
During the Liverpool Police strike/riots of 1919 when half the police force went on strike and were sacked, while the other half were given awards – constables were awarded these truncheons as a thank you for not going on strike.
In good condition.

Stoke On Trent City Police Cutlass

A Victorian Police Officer's cutlass with fishskin ribbed grips, brass D shaped knuckle guard, stepped pommel, 24” curved fullered blade, later etched 'Stoke On Trent City Police'

These type of cutlasses were issued to British Police and prison officer during times of riots or dangerous situation such as arresting armed criminals and night duty in dangerous areas.

Good solid condition with age related patina to blade.

French Model 1842 Bayonet dated 1855

A scarce first pattern French Model 1842 sword bayonet with a 57.5cm re-curving yataghan blade, ribbed brass hilt with early type leaf spring release button.

Blade spine engraved Chattlerault and the manufacture date 1855.

Complete with its original steel scabbard.


French Model 1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet

This is a matching numbers model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet & scabbard.
Both bayonet and scabbard are stamped with the same matching serial number F 1140.

Blade spine is inscribed 'Etienne Janvier 1873' which is the Saint-Étienne arsenal January 1873.

Overall length 28” (71cm)

All in good condition.

19th Century British Police/ Prison Cutlass
A mid 19th century British Police/Prison cutlass with fishskin ribbed grips, brass D shaped knuckle guard, stepped pommel, 24 inch curved fullered blade.

Victorian Constables Staff c1840

An early Victorian constables short staff c1840.

These types of staff were used by constable when serving warrants to show they had authority of the crown.

20 ½ inch (52cm) long with brown painted body and gold painted crown over V.R.

Good solid condition, no cracks of splits.


WW1 Birmingham Special Police Constables Truncheon

WWI Birmingham special police constables truncheon, transfer decorated with a crown over a GRV cipher,coat of arms of Birmingham and 1916-1919.

The truncheon is stamped with the officers number of: 3391.
The truncheon is 15.5" long and is in good solid condition with a couple of small hairline cracks and some loss to transfer decoration.


U.S Model 1840 NCO Sword Dated 1865

A Civil War era U.S Model 1840 NCO sword with an 82cm straight blade marked at the ricasso with the maker details of ' Ames Mfg co Chicopee Mass (faint) the opposite stamped 'U.S J.C.W 1865.

Brass hilt with gnarled grip, kidney shaped counter – guard and knucklebow stamped with inspectors mark 'ADK'.

Contained in it's brass mounted black leather scabbard.

Good all round condition.


WWII Indian MkII Bayonet

An Indian MkII SMLE rifle bayonet with 12 inch (30.5cm) flat clip - point blade, stamped at the ricasso with a crown over 'G.R.I', 'MKII', manufacture date of '9 1943' and R.F.I (Rifle factory Ishapore).

Complete with it's original steel mounted black leather scabbard and canvas frog.


1930s Devon Constabulary Police Truncheon by Hiatt

A 1930s very heavy (469g) wooden truncheon stamped 'Devon Constabulary'.

Devon county constabulary was formed in 1856 and was the Home Office police force for the county until 1966.

The 16 inch Truncheon is in good solid condition and still retains its original leather wrist strap stamped 'Hiatt & Co.

A c1930s British Mounted Police Officer's wooden baton / truncheon, 24 inch (61cm) in length, complete with brown leather case and attachment straps, case flap stamped 'L.M.P 14' for the London Metropolitan Police no14.

Truncheon is in very good condition, leather case has two small areas of open stitching.


C .1850 Land Transport Corps Private's Sword

A rare c1850 British Land Transport Corps Private's short sword with solid brass hilt, 22 inch (56cm) straight blade stamped at the ricasso with British army crown over 16 inspectors mark and the opposite side with knights head motif of the German sword maker 'Kirschbaum'.

Good solid condition with no pitting.


British Mounted Police Truncheon and Leather Case

An early 20th century 24 inch heavy wood mounted policeman's truncheon contained in it's spring-loaded leather case'.

Truncheon is in good condition with just a few light scratches where it has been drawn in and out of the case and a small chip to the grip, all stitching on the leather case is intact and the spring is still strong.

In all-round good condition.

Baton body is also stamped 'PORT' possibly indicating Royal Navy use.

Very good condition with just a small tear to strap.


WWI Turkish Officers M1909 Sword

WWI Ottoman Turkish Infantry officers M1909 sword with 28 ¾ inch curved blade inscribed at the riccaso with Arabic script, brass hilt deeply etched with Turkish star and crescent, wire bound horn grip, lanyard loop and button release steel scabbard, 36 inches overall.

In all-round good condition with just a very slight/mild bend to blade tip and a dent to the scabbard.


Socket Bayonet For India Catch 1840 – 1855

A mid 19th century socket bayonet for the India catch.

The bayonet dates to between 1840-1855 as Indian socket bayonets were changed to the locking ring style in the years following Britain's adoption of the pattern 1853 bayonet. It is 19.5" overall with a blade length of 15.3/4 " and a socket length of 3". The M.R.D. is 23.9mm. (see Skennerton's 'British & Commonwealth Bayonets' book illustrated, as 126, page 328.)

Key is marked Hiatt and is original but needs to be pulled when screwed in to open the cuffs.

A French 1833 pattern Naval Cutlass marked to the spine "Manuf're R'ale de Chatellerault 1842" (manufactured royal of Chatellerault 1842).
The 26 ½ inch (67.5cm) blade with engraved anchors clearly visible on both sides.

Complete with its original brass mounted black leather scabbard.

32 inches 81.5m overall.

Blade is in good condition, hilt is firm, leather scabbard is good.

Overall this is a good untouched example of a 1833 pattern French Navel Cutlass.

Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Mabson Labron & Mabson

An early 19th century pocket pistol by Mabson Labron & Mabson.

Mabson Labron & Mabson where in business together at 25 Russell Street, Birmingham from 1827 till 1833.

Pistol is 6 ¼ inches in total length with a 1 ¾ inch barrel and one piece walnut grip.

The box-lock engraved Mabson Labron & Mabson on one side and stand of arms engraving on the other side.

Pistol has a good strong working action.

Italian Model 1833 Mounted Artillery Troopers Sword

A mid 19th century Italian M1833 mounted artillery troopers sword with a 33inch (84cm) curved blade stamped at the ricasso under the langet 'S&K' (for the German maker Schnitzler & Kirschbaum Soligen), and steel stirrup hilt with wire-bound and leather-covered grip.

Overall 38 ½ inch (97.5cm ).

Complete with original steel scabbard.

All in good original untouched condition.

A British Ministry of Defence 1959 pattern riot baton, stamped to the pommel with the contract Number 'C.19252', 'W.C Ltd' and the year of supply '1959'.

French Model 1831 Short Sword

French model 1831 brass handle artilleryman's short sword, marked at the ricasso with the manufacturer 'Pihet Freres' and the reverse 'Chatellerault 1833'.

Complete with it's original black leather brass mounted scabbard.

The French 1831 sword was based on ancient sculptural depictions of the Roman Gladius the standard sword of the Roman legionaries.

Blade length 48.5cm total length 64cm.

Sword and scabbard are in good condition.


British SLR L1A1 Bayonet Converted to an L1A3


This is a scarce S.L.R. L1A1 bayonet that has been converted to a L1A3.


L1A3 bayonet was introduced into British service during the late 1950s to eliminate the protruding press stud used on the L1A1 and L1A2 designs. It was felt that the protruding press stud made the bayonet too easily dislodged, so the press stud was made flush with the pommel.


This example is stamped on the blade fort with the 'ED' symbol and '58' (1958) showing it was made at the Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield in 1958, the original grips have had the L1A1 stamp crossed out and replaced with the L1A3 0257 stamp.


Complete with original scabbard.

Finnish M1928/30 Mosin Nagant Bayonet

A very nice example of a Finnish M1928/30 Mosin Nagant bayonet and steel scabbard.

The bayonet ricasso is stamped ‘Sk.Y’ and the cross guard ‘S’ indicating that this bayonet was accepted for service with the Finnish Civil Guard.

The bayonet has a steel pommel and down turn quillion.. It has nice birch burl wood grip panels secured with two screw bolts.

The polished steel fullered blade measures just over 11 3/4" and is in very good condition, it is also stamped to the ricasso with the makers stamp, ‘Hackman & Co’.

The steel scabbard is also in good condition with just a few tiny dints and still retains most of its original bluing.

This is a rare and hard to find bayonet.

A very good mid Victorian British Police Hanger with brass D shaped hand guard stamped with the maker details of 'PARKER FIELD & SON LONDON', stepped pommel and fish skin wire bound grips.

The 24inch curved spear point blade is in excellent condition and incorporates a scabbard release mechanism.

Contained in its original black leather brass mounted scabbard.

The scabbard release button is working well.
All in very good condition with just some slight wear to shagreen. All wire binding intact.

A good totally original WWI Austrian Army Trench Fighting Knife with 21.3cm single edge spear point blade, the ricasso stamped 'Z' and Austrian eagle acceptance stamp to the top of the steel crossguard.

Complete with steel scabbard bearing traces of original green paint, with original leather belt loop.

The blade is a nice firm fit in the scabbard, beach wood grips are undamaged, blade with age related dark staining.

Irish 8 Police Handcuffs by Hiatt

A 19th century set of Irish 8 police handcuffs with original key.

Due to their popularity with the Royal Irish Constabulary and the figure of eight shape, gave the cuff's the name “Irish Eights”.

Cuffs are marked 'HIATT ' and the number '308' the key is also marked '308'

In good working order with just some very light surface rust consistent with age.

Red Bakelite scabbard and bayonet are both marked with the Izhevsk arsenal stamp.


Sardinian M1847 Naval Cutlass

A mid 19th century (C1850 ) Sardinian M1847 Naval Cutlass with steel half bowl hilt, ribbed grips and a very slightly curved (67.5cm) blade marked at the ricasso 'A&E Holler Solingen'.

The German made M1847 cutlass was based on French M1830 cutlass but larger and more heavy duty.
Overall length 82 cm,
Good solid condition with just some patches of light pitting to blade.


Model 1852 Prussian Naval Boarding Cutlass

A model 1852 Prussian naval boarding cutlass by Alcoso Solingen.

59cm bolo type blade stamped at the ricasso with the 'A' weighing scales 'C' logo of Alcoso Solingen and blade spine stamped with crown over 'W 69' for Wilhelm I, King of Prussia (1861-1871) and the date 1869.

Blade is in good condition with just some light age related staining, hilt is solid, some loss of wire binding to leather grips.



British M1858 Naval Cutlass Bayonet

A Rare British M1858 Naval Cutlass Bayonet for the 1858 Enfield naval rifle, with a 26.5 inch steel blade showing the knight's head motif maker mark of the German sword maker W.R. Kirschbaum & Cie and British War Department inspectors markings of a crown over S/14.

A well finished, high quality Swiss bayonet for the Swiss SIG Stgw (Sturmgewehr) 57 assault rifle, manufactured from 1957 to 1983.
The 24cm blade is stamped with "W" above serial number, indicating that it was made by the Swiss knife manufacturer Wenger.
Bayonet is complete with original black composite scabbard and brown leather frog.

Good condition.

Grip with 'US Army' stamp on one side and an Eagle on the other.

British 1888 Pattern Lee-Metford Bayonet by Mole

An 1888 pattern MkI, 2nd Type Lee-Metford bayonet manufactured by Mole of Birmingham, date stamped 7/97 (July1897).
Bayonet and scabbard have matching numbers with both the bayonet pommel and the scabbard throat stamped '436'

Crossguard, pommel and metal parts of the scabbard have some light pitting/staining. blade is in clean condition with some small areas of light staining.


WWII Japanese Arisaka type 30 Bayonet & Scabbard

A Japanese type 30 bayonet for the Arisaka type 30 rifle.
The 40cm bright steel blade is in excellent condition and is stamped with manufacture symbols of the Kaneshiro Sakuganki Seizo KK Arsenal under Nagoya supervision.
Bayonet with hooked quillon, slab wood grips and birds head pommel with serial number '42745'.

Scabbard is in good condition with no damage, wood grips have some dents and slight losses but remain solid.

Pre WWII Kukri Knife

A pre WWII Kurkri knife with a 13 ¼ inch curved blade showing numerous stamps including broadarrow and the dated 1920.

Original brown leather scabbard and frog stamped with broadarrow and dated 1921.

The two piece wooden grips are undamaged, blade is good in good condition with just a bit of pitting at the ricasso, clear markings.

Scabbard has a small burnt patch mainly under the frog.

WWII Japanese NCO Sword

New to the market is a Burma bring back WWII Japanese type 95 NCO (Non-Commissioned Officers) Sword with a 1946 dated certificate of retention from R.A.F Seletar, made out to Lance Corporal Flower.

Sword and scabbard with matching serial numbers and original wartime paint.

Blade is in excellent condition.

A totally original untouched example with great provenance.

Swiss M1918 Bayonet

Argentinian M1909 Sword Bayonet

An Argentinian model 1909 bayonet for the M1891 Mauser rifle by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co with matching serial number scabbard .
The ricasso is stamped on one side with "Modelo Argentino 1909" above the Argentine crest, below this is has a serial number "C8898". On the reverse it has "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solingen".

The blued steel scabbard has a serial number stamped above the oval frog stud "C8898".

Complete with original green leather frog.

The 17 inch blade is clean and undamaged and is stamped at the ricasso with a crown over 'GR', '8 . 14 ' for August 1914 and the manufacturer name 'EFD' (Enfield).

2nd Pattern French M1892 Berthier Bayonet

A 2nd pattern French M1892 for the 8mm Mannlicher Berthier artillery carbine.

This is a original 2nd pattern M1892 bayonet with a 40cm polished steel blade, riveted wood grips, long muzzle ring and hooked quillon

Bayonet and scabbard with matching serial numbers.

In good condition with just a couple of small dents to the scabbard.


This is an original William IV, Enfield Sea Service / Coastguard percussion pistol c1835.

It is 11 inches long with a 6 inch .65 calibre smooth bore barrel.

The barrel is c stamped with numerous ordinance/proof/inspection marks.

The wood stock is stamped with the British board of ordnance stamp.

The lock plate is marked ‘Enfield crown W.R and small crown with British military broad arrow mark.

All metal work and wood work in good condition (no damage) and pistol has a good strong, crisp working action.

NB As an antique percussion pistol no licence is required to own this item in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display.

Early 19th Century Large Size Watchman's Wooden Rattle

An early 19th century large size double claker Watchman's rattle.
This type of rattle was used by Watchmen prior to the formation of the Metropolitan police (1829) it was not swung but held in one hand by the handle and revolved by means of a knob on the top. Rattle is in working order when swung although the top knob is missing.
10.5 inches (27cm) long and 9 inches (23cm) top to bottom of handle.

In original condition.


Manchester Police Detective's Truncheon Dated 1871

A rare Manchester Police Detective's short truncheon.

12 inches long.

Stamped 'Manchester Police', 'A Division', 'No 118', and '9. 1871' ( September 1871)

Apart from a couple of cracks the truncheon is in good condition and still remains solid.


1907 pattern bayonet for the Enfield rifle manufactured in 1918 by Wilkinson.


The ricasso is stamped with the maker name 'WILKINSON' and Kings Crown over '1907' and '3' '18' date ( March 1918).


The 17 inch blade is clean and undamaged and the wood slab grips are in good undamaged condition. Complete with it's original steel mounted black leather scabbard.

Portuguese M48 Submachine Gun Bayonet

This is a scarce M1948 knife bayonet for the Portuguese 9 mm FBP (Fabrico Braco de Prata) M1948 submachine gun.

The bayonet has short (17.5cm) sharply pointed blued steel stiletto blade, slab wood grips and blued steel pommel, crossguard is stamped with the serial number 21544.

Comes complete with original steel scabbard.

Good original condition.


British 1903 Pattern Bayonet by Enfield

This is a scarce 1903 pattern bayonet manufactured by Enfield for the SMLE rifle.

The bayonet has a very nice 12" polished steel spear point blade, the ricasso stamped with 'Crown over E.R 1903', and 12, 03 for the date December 1903, the opposite ricasso has the 'EFD' and inspection stamps.

Comes complete with original black leather scabbard.


WWII Japanese Arisaka Type 30 Bayonet

WWII Japanese type 30 bayonet for the Arisaka rifle.

It has the Tokyo Arsenal mark on the blade indicating it was manufactured pre1935.

The bayonet has slab wood grips secured by two screws, the steel pommel is stamped with the serial number '10768' and Imperial Japanese inspection marks.

It has a Hooked quillon crossguard and a 40cm polished steel fullered blade.

Lancashire Constabulary Policeman’s Helmet (Pre 1953)


This is a very good pre 1953 Kings Crown Policeman’s helmet of the Lancashire Constabulary.
The helmet is in good original condition with correct 6 panel construction and ornate black painted vented rose top mount and headband with side rosettes. The rose and headband have the original blacking. It is fitted with its original blackened King's Crown plate with central silvered Lancashire rose. Inside is also in good condition with a leather sweat band and chinstrap with small buckle. The headband is nicely stamped "Christy's of London".
Lancashire constabulary was formed in 1839 making it one of the oldest police forces in Britain.


M1898/M1911 Dutch Klewang Cutlass

A Dutch M1898/1911 Klewang (Cutlass) with blued steel hand guard, wood slab grips secured with brass rivets and a 24 inch blued clip point blade, marked at the ricasso 'HEMBRUG'.

Contained in its brass mounted brown leather scabbard.

The M1898/1911 cutlass was used by the Dutch armed forces (primarily in the Dutch East Indies) from the late 19th century and throughout the first half of the 20th century up until 1949.

In good original condition, blade is undamaged and retains a good proportion of original bluing.

French 1st Pattern M1886 Lebel Bayonet (Matching Numbers)

This is a very good 1st pattern French M1886 Lebel rifle bayonet with white metal hilt, down swept quillion and round button catch. The round button press was altered in 1893 to a squarer shape; this is the first pattern before the button catch was altered.

The 53cm cruciform blade is straight and undamaged.

Complete with its original blued matching numbers (78294) steel scabbard (no dents).

Finnish M1928/30 Mosin Nagant Bayonet

A very nice example of a Finnish M1928/30 Mosin Nagant bayonet and steel scabbard.

The bayonet ricasso is stamped ‘Sk.Y’ and the cross guard ‘S’ indicating that this bayonet was accepted for service with the Finnish Civil Guard.

The bayonet has a steel pommel and down turn quillion.. It has superb birch burl wood grip panels secured with two screw bolts.

The polished steel fullered blade measures just over 11 3/4" and is in very good condition, it is also stamped to the ricasso with the makers stamp, ‘Fiskars’.

The steel scabbard is also in very good condition and still retains most of its original bluing with just a small amount of light pitting.

This is a rare and hard to find bayonet.


NWW1 Winchester M1917 Bayonet with original leather scabbard

The M1917 bayonet was used first during World War I by American soldiers on the Western Front.

A sword bayonet design, the M1917 bayonet design was based on the British P1907 bayonet, which incorporated a long 17-inch blade. While designed primarily for the M1917 rifle the bayonet was fitted for use on all the "trench" shotguns at the time.

This is a good example of a Winchester U.S M1917 bayonet.

Complete with original 1918 dated olive green scabbard.

Rare Vickers P1907 SMLE Bayonet

Vickers only produced 10,000 pattern 07 bayonet compared to the millions of bayonets produced by some other manufacturers such as Wilkinson, Sanderson etc, making Vickers the rarest of pattern 07 bayonets.

The 43cm blade is stamped with a crown over "G.R. 1907 4 18 " (April 1918) and the makers name 'Vickers'), the other side has the War Department broad arrow and several inspection stamps.

Nice clean blade with clear markings.

Complete with original steel mounted leather scabbard.

Manufactured in Austria by Steyr for the Portuguese army.

Blade is 47cm(18 1/2") marked along the spine 'Steyr 1886'.

British S.L.R Bayonet L.1.A.3

The L1A3 bayonet was introduced into British service during the late 1950s to eliminate the protruding press stud used on the L1A1 and L1A2 designs. It was felt that the protruding press stud made the bayonet too easily dislodged, so the press stud was made flush with the pommel.

This example is stamped "F 60" to the ricasso showing it was made in 1960, grips stamped on both sides with the Enfield 'ED' symbol and L1A3 9600257.

8" blade, 12" overall.

Complete with canvas frog.


WWII British No4 MKII Bayonet with Rare Experimental S 191 Tube Scabbard

British No4 MKII Spike Bayonet stamped P.S.K for Prince Smith of Keighley,Yorkshire who manufactured the bayonets from 1942-1945.

Retained in it's original rare experimental No4 MKII tube scabbard, marked on the end cap 'S 191', (see Skennertons book page 224).

Bayonet and scabbard both with remains of desert camo paint and complete with original WWII webbing frog.


WWI Imperial German 1884/98 Bayonet dated 1916

An Imperial German WW1 1884/98 bayonet with slab wood grips and a 25.5cm fullered blade stamped at the ricasso with 'Rich A Herder Solingen' to one side of ricasso and 'H Mundulos & Co, Magdenburg' to the other, spine stamped with a crown 'W' over '16'.

Complete with original steel scabbard and leather frog.


Scarce WWI Turkish M1890 Bayonet

This is a good example of a scarce WWI Turkish model 1890 bayonet with a 46cm polished steel blade stamped at the ricasso with the manufacturers name and date in Turkish script and the crescent and star on the top edge of the blade. The pommel, crossguard and tang have no pitting or damage and show various Turkish inspection stamps. The riveted wood grips are in good condition showing some light to medium bruising. The blade is in good condition with no damage and there is approximately 10% light pitting to the tip. The steel mounted leather scabbard is in good condition with 95% of the stitching in tact. The bottom mount has a couple of tiny dents and is missing one staple.

Royal Air Force P1907 Bayonet

A scarce pattern 1907 SMLE bayonet manufactured by Wilkinson in 1918 and stamped on the pommel and the scabbard throat R.A.F (Royal Air Force).

Blade length is 17 inches (21.5 inches overall).

Good overall condition.

Rare Royal Navy Lee Metford Bayonet

This is a good example of a rare Royal Navy issue Lee Metford 1888 MKI Type II Bayonet and correct navel pattern scabbard dated 1939.

12 inch double edged spear point blade with ricasso stamped with crown over '10 / 94' for the date October 1894, pommel and scabbard throat are both stamped with the letter 'N' indicating Royal Navy issue.

Danish M1889 Knife Bayonet

The 23cm knife blade is stamped at the ricasso with the manufacturer details of 'Alex Coppel, Solingen', chequered black leather grips, steel mounted black leather scabbard with locking stud to keep the bayonet secure.

The crossguard bears the Danish inspection stamp of a crown over '91' indicating the year 1891, pommel with regimental stamps.

Both bayonet and scabbard are in good condition with just a small repair to one side of leather grips.

Argentinian M1891 Sword Bayonet

An Argentinian model 1891 sword bayonet (for the M1891 Mauser rifle) by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co with matching serial number scabbard .
The bayonet has white metal grips stamped with the “RA” Argentinian property stamp.

The 40cm fullered polished steel single edge blade is in excellent condition.
The ricasso is stamped on one side with "Modelo Argentino 1891" above the Argentine crest, below this is has a serial number "D2467.", the reverse it has "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solingen". The inscription and crest were usually ground off before sale as obsolete and specimens with the full crest and inscription are very hard to find.

The blued steel scabbard has a serial number stamped above the frog stud "D2467."


R.A.F Aircrew Knife

A Royal Air Force Air Crew Knife (c1920s 30s) with a 5 inch polished steel blade stamped with a crown over A/M (Air Ministry) 44/88 and the maker details of Hale Brothers LTD Sheffield England.

Winchester only produced 225,000 1913 pattern bayonets compared to the 1,243,000 produced by Remington making them quite scarce.

The 17” blade is clean with clear markings, no pitting and retains its original factory edge, grips are also good and undamaged.

Comes with WW1 green U.S army scabbard and British Home Guard brown leather frog.

Spanish M1941 Bolo Bayonet

A Spanish Model 1941 Bolo Blade Bayonet & Scabbard.
The bayonet has a distinctive 24.5cm Bolo shaped blade and is stamped on the ricasso with the Toledo arsenal and crown mark, on the other side of the ricasso it is stamped with a serial number "2056H".

Bayonet and scabbard retain almost all of the original bluing, some dark patches of staining to blade, wood grips are in good condition with no damage.


British SLR L1A3 Bayonet by Enfield

The L1A3 bayonet was introduced into British service during the late 1950s to eliminate the protruding press stud used on the L1A1 and L1A2 designs. It was felt that the protruding press stud made the bayonet too easily dislodged, so the press stud was made flush with the pommel.

This example is stamped on the blade fort with the 'ED' symbol and '62' showing it was made at the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield in 1962.

An Irish percussion .56calliber travelling pistols with a 5 inch (12.5cm) octagonal barrel engraved 'Cork' (now faint) on the top flat, back action lock signed 'H Allport'.

Henry Allport had premises at 77 Georges Street Cork between 1820 and 1850
Pistol with full stock with chequered grip, silver escutcheon and captive swivel ramrod.

1845 Pattern British Royal Navy Cutlass By Heighington

This is an 1845 pattern British Royal Navy cutlass with sheet steel half basket hilt with turned down back edge, ribbed iron grip and 26 inch (66cm) straight steel blade.

This one has the diamond shape brass plate stamped with the rack number '1'.

The blade ricasso is stamped with the British War Department mark and the inspectors proof stamps of crown over 'E 30' the opposite side has the 1887 conversion stamp 'C/87' and a crown over 'B13' stamp.

Blade spine is stamped with the maker name HEIGHINGTON. .

In good solid condition with clear markings and complete with it's original steel mounted black leather scabbard.

Some chips to edge of blade.


Finnish M28 Mosin Nagant Bayonet

An original WWII German Luftwaffe Luftwaffen- Kampfmesser Boot Knife & Scabbard. These knives were carried in the boots of Luftwaffe pilots and Air crew (see page 78 of German Combat knives 1914-1945 By Mery). The knife has a 16.9 cm blade and an overall length of 28cm. The grips are smooth wood and secured to the tang by three rivets. The ricasso is stamped with the correct stylised Eagle 6 'Luftwaffe' mark. Its original scabbard is metal with original black paint. It has the correct 2 prong metal belt/boot clip riveted to the rear.

15 inch heavy wood truncheon with original brown leather wrist strap, marked 'J. Hudson & Co B'ham. Truncheon is also stamped 'N.S.C'
