19th Century Customs & Excise Rummage Stick by Mole

A 19th Century Customs & Excise rummage/sword Stick by Mole of Birmingham with a 29 ¾” (75.5cm) square tapering blade stamped with maker's name 'Mole', briar wood haft and curved handle with brass collar and ferrule.

36 inches (91.5cm) overall length

In all round very good condition.


WWII USN Knife By Camillus

United States Navy MkII knife with blued clipped point blade (7inch), leather disk grip, ricasso stamped "USN MK2 and Camillus NY".

Complete with original composition scabbard stamped “USN MK2” and “N ORD 4723. BM Co".

The blade still has it's factory edge and has 95 percent bluing remaining, grips are undamaged, scabbard is in excellent condition.


1938 Dated British Army Knife by Wade & Butcher

A pre WWII, large size British army knife with marlin spike and early type tin opener.
The knife blade is marked to one side with the date 1938 and the manufacture details ‘Wade & Butcher Sheffield England’ to the other side. The marlin spike is stamped with the British military broad arrow mark ⩚ and '8'.
All tools with good actions and good lockout.


P1907 Bayonet 2nd Battalion East Kent Regiment

A WWI – WWII British pattern 1907 bayonet, it has the clearing hole in the pommel that was introduced in 1916.
The 17” blade is stamped at the ricasso with a crown over G.R and various other markings.

Pommel is marked '2 BUFFS' for the 2nd Battalion, East Kent Regiment.


British Pattern 1907 Bayonet by J.A.C (Chapman)

British Pattern 1907 SMLE bayonet by one of the rarer manufacturers Chapman.

The 43cm blade stamped with a crown over "G.R. 1907 5'16" (May 1916) and the makers stamp "J.A.C" (standing for James A. Chapman), the other side has the War Department broad arrow and several inspection stamps.

Complete with original steel mounted leather scabbard.

All in very good condition with nice clear markings.


British 1920s - 30s Police Truncheon by Hiatt

A 1920s -30s British Police truncheon with original leather wrist strap stamped Hiatt.
15 ½ inches long.

A scarce detectives heavy dark wood pocket truncheon with original leather wrist strap, dating from around the 1930's.

12 ½ inch (31.8cm) long.

British 1900 Pattern Royal Navy Cutlass

The 1900 pattern was the last cutlass to be used by the Royal Navy.

With a 28inch straight spear point blade with a shallow fuller running down each side.

The blackened hilt with heavy duty bowl guard and pressed leather grips.

Ricasso is stamped with the manufacturer's details of 'Wilkinson London' and the British War Department broad arrow mark over 'N' indicating acceptance by the Royal Navy.

Good all around condition.


East German Police DVP Baton

An original East German Police DVP ( Volkspolizei) hard rubber baton with leather wrist strap and steel belt ring.

48 cm long.


Pre WWII Kukri Knife

A pre WWII Kukri knife with a 13 ¼ inch curved blade showing numerous stamps including broad-arrow and the dated 1920.

Original brown leather scabbard and frog.

The two piece wooden grips are undamaged, blade is in good condition with some patches of light pitting , scabbard and frog have a few scuffs here and there.


Victorian Police Cutlass

A Victorian Police Officer's cutlass with fishskin ribbed grips, brass D shaped knuckle guard, stepped pommel and 23 inch curved fullered blade.

Blade is etched 'ANDERW No 6' (most likely for the town of Saint Andrews).

These type of cutlasses were issued to British Police and prison officer during times of riots or dangerous situation such as arresting armed criminals and night duty in dangerous areas.

Good solid condition with just few chips to the blade edge.

Hilt is tight to the blade, fishskin grips are in good condition.


Switzerland Model 1863 Socket Bayonet

Switzerland model 1863 socket bayonet for use with the muzzle loading 10.4 mm. M1863 Infanteriegewehr (infantry rifle); and the 10.4 mm. rimfire M1863/67 Milbank-Amsler conversion; M1867 Peabody; and, M1869 Vetterli rifles. This bayonet could also be used with the 10.4 mm. Vetterli M1871 Infantry and M1871 Stutzer (sharpshooter) repeating rifles.

Bayonet is in very good condition retaining the majority of it's original blued finish.

21 ¾ inches (55.5 cm) overall length.


WWII Japanese Tokyo Arsenal Type 30 Arisaka Bayonet

Japanese Type 30 Arisaka bayonet with slab wood grips, hooked quillon crossguard and a 40cm polished steel blade stamped at the ricasso with the Tokyo Arsenal mark indicating it was manufactured pre 1935.

The pommel is stamped with the serial number '1622870'

Complete with original steel scabbard.

Some light pitting to pommel and scabbard blade is undamaged with just some light patches of staining, wood grips are undamaged. Totally original condition.


1960's 70's British Police Woman's Truncheon
A scarce original 1960's 70s British Police Woman's truncheon by Hiatt, made of heavy dark wood with the original leather wrist strap.

In good solid condition.
Truncheon 10 ¾ inches (27cm) long.


Scarce British Point Tip Police Truncheon

A scarce Point Tip British policeman's Truncheon c 1940's

The Point Tip truncheon was used by the British Police and British Military Police.

The point shaped tip was used to poke non-compliant suspects between the ribs.

16 inches (41cm).

Good solid condition.


U.S Army Riot Baton dated 1940

A 59cm wooden baton stamped to the body 'U.S ARMY' and pommel stamped '1940'.

Complete with rare webbing carry frog, ink stamped 'U.S Hinson MFG CO 1943'.

Excellent condition.


Sardinian M1847 Naval Cutlass

A mid 19th century (C1850 ) Sardinian M1847 Naval Cutlass with steel half bowl hilt, ribbed grips and a very slightly curved (67.5cm) blade marked at the ricasso 'A&E Holler Solingen'.
The German made M1847 cutlass was based on French M1830 cutlass.
Overall length 82 cm,
Good all-round condition.

An heavy large size 16 inch bowie knife with 10 ½ inch (26.7cm) clip point blade stamped with maker details of 'J Nowill & Sons Sheffield' and cross keys motif, pined stag antler grips and brass crossguard.

Complete with brown leather sheath.

Excellent condition.

15.5 inch wooden police truncheon stamped with a Kings crown & 'Devon Constabulary', leather wrist strap stamped 'Hiatt', circa 1930s – 1940s.

Devon county constabulary was formed in 1856 and was the Home Office police force for the county until 1966.

Good solid condition.


City of London Police truncheon 1930s

A circa 1930s heavy wood 15inch police truncheon, stamped near the top with a crown along with the letters CP (City Police) for the City of London Police.

Russian AKM Type II Kalashnikov Bayonet

A Russian type II AKM bayonet for 7.62 mm AKM and the later 5.45 mm AK74 assault rifles.

Bayonet with red composite grips and a 15cm clip point blade with integrated wire cutter slot.

Red Bakelite scabbard marked with the Tula arsenal stamp.

WW1 British 1907 Pattern Bayonet by Wilkinson Dated 1915

1907 pattern bayonet for the S.M.L.E rifle manufactured in 1915 by Wilkinson.

The ricasso is stamped with the maker name 'WILKINSON' and Crown G.R over '1907' and '3' '15' date ( March 1915).

Complete with it's steel mounted black leather scabbard.

A WWI 1907 pattern bayonet for the SMLE rifle manufactured by Wilkinson.

The ricasso is stamped with the maker name 'WILKINSON' and Kings Crown over '1907'.

The 17 inch blade is very good clean and undamaged condition and the wood slab grips are also in very good undamaged condition. Complete with it's original steel mounted black leather scabbard.


1937 Dated British Army Knife by Wade & Butcher

RARE Vickers P13 Bayonet

A rare WWI 1913 pattern bayonet by Vickers dated 1917.

Only 1500 P13 bayonet where produced by Vickers compared to 1,243,000 by Remington.

A very good example of a rare world war one bayonet complete with original black leather scabbard.


1920s British Policeman's Truncheon

A circa 1920's British Policeman's truncheon with original leather wrist strap stamped HIATT & Co B'HAM.

15 inches (38cm) long and in good solid condition.


1899 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword by Enfield

This is a very good untouched example of a British 1899 pattern cavalry troopers sword, with a 33 ½ inch blade, stamped at the ricasso 'EFD' (Enfield), British War Department broad arrow and inspection stamp, other side with various dates and inspection stamps, spine stamped '99'.

The blade is very good with no damage, grips, guard and scabbard are also good with a nice untouched patina throughout as it should be.


Napoleonic Infantry Briquet Sword

A good example of a French Napoleonic era infantry briquet with heavy ribbed brass D guard hilt and 57.5 cm blade, 72cm overall.

Ricasso is stamped with maker mark (rubbed) but most likely "Berncastell Aine & Co".

Various stamps to Guard.


Victorian Police Cutlass L.C.P.

A Victorian Police Officers cutlass with fishskin ribbed grips, brass D shaped knuckle guard, stepped pommel, 24” curved fullered blade.

Blade etched 'L.C.P' for ? City Police and 'No' for the number.

Imperial German M1884/98 Bayonet Regimentally Marked

A scarce 1st Model, Imperial German Seitengewehr M1884/98 Bayonet with a 25cm single edged blade stamped at the forte with maker details of ‚'Alex Coppel Solingen' and a crown over 'Erfurt' back edge with inspection stamp of a crown, 'W' over '87' for the manufacture date of 1888.

The crossguard is regimentally marked ‚'18.R.1.83'.

Complete with it's black leather steel mounted scabbard marked '37.R.R.78'.

Good all round condition.


M1888 Mark I Type II Lee Metford Bayonet to the Yorkshire Regiment

The 12” double-edged blade is marked on the ricasso with numerous date and inspection marks and the manufacturer details of 'Wilkinson London',the obverse ricasso is marked with 'WD' (War Department), broad arrow, bend test and inspection stamp.

The pommel is stamped 'Y.K” for The Yorkshire Regiment and R.G.A for the Royal Garrison Artillery.

The bayonet comes with its original black leather steel mounted scabbard.

All in overall good condition.


WW1 P1913 Bayonet, British Contract 1916

A pattern 1913 bayonet manufactured by Remington for the British army during WW1.

Stamped to the ricasso 'Remington', '8 -16' (August 1916) and to the opposite with British inspector's proof markings.

Complete with it's original black leather scabbard.

Bayonet has a nice clean blade with clear markings, some scratches and a small chip to wooden grips, all metal parts are good with no pitting or rust.


French 2nd Pattern 1886 Lebel Bayonet

This is a 2nd pattern M1886 Lebel rifle bayonet with white metal removable hilt, no quillion and squarer shape button catch.
The cruciform blade is 520mm (20 1/2"), working spring catch; it is complete with its original steel scabbard which is free of dents.

These bayonet's were used by the French in WWI and as with this one were painted black for night use.

Good overall condition with straight blade and no damage.

Belgium FN Type A bayonet with wooden grips and two prong flash-hider.

French M1842/59 Sword Bayonet

A French model 1842/59 sword bayonet with a 57.5cm re-curving yataghan blade, ribbed brass hilt with internal coil spring release button.

Blade spine engraved with the model date 1842 and the manufacturer and manufacture date of Chattlerault Javier 1862.

Complete with its original steel scabbard.

Both bayonet and scabbard are in very good condition.


Percussion Cap Pocket Pistol by Playfair of Aberdeen

A 19th century percussion cap pocket pistol by Playfair of Aberdeen with a 1¾ inch screw-off barrel, walnut slab sided wooden grips, top slide safety catch and engraved lock inscribed 'Playfair' on one side and 'Aberdeen' on the other.

Length 6 inches (15.5cm).

Pistol has a good strong working action.

NB As an antique percussion pistol no licence is required to own this item in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display.


French Model 1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet

This is a matching numbers model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet & scabbard.
Both bayonet and scabbard are stamped with the same matching serial number P 48055.

Blade spine is inscribed 'Etienne Janvier 1873' which is the Saint-Étienne arsenal January 1873.

Overall length 28” (71cm)

Bayonet is in good condition with a clean blade, some pitting to one end of scabbard.


Royal Horse Artillery P1885 Cavalry Troopers Sword

A 1885 pattern cavalry trooper's sword stamped at the ricasso with the German manufactures details of Weyersberg/Kirschbaum & Cie/Solingen, inside of guard marked 11.1887/1.A.R.H.A. (1st Regiment A Battery Royal Horse Artillery), scabbard throat marked Y/Lct/386 (Lancaster Yeomanry).

Sword blade and guard have been polished and scabbard has been nickel plated possibly for parade use. A few nicks to blade and dents to scabbard otherwise in very good condition.


London Metropolitan Police Truncheon c1890

This is c1890 heavy dark wood (400g) London Metropolitan police truncheon die-stamped ‘MP’ centred with a Queens crown.

15 inches long and in very good solid condition.


P1907 Bayonet by Enfield dated 1923

A scarce British SMLE P1907 bayonet manufactured by Enfield in 1923.

It has the clearing hole in the pommel that was introduced in 1916.
The 17” blade is stamped at the ricasso with a crown over 'GR', '3.23' for March 1923 and the manufacturer name 'EFD' (Enfield).
Complete with original black leather scabbard and 1940 dated frog.


French M1892/15 Berthier Bayonet

A French Model 1892/15 bayonet for the 8mm Mannlicher Berthier artillery carbine with a 40cm polished steel blade and riveted black composite two piece grips, contained in it's original steel scabbard.


U.S M1913 Remington Bayonet

Stamped with the date 9. 17 for September 1917, British proof markings crossed out and a US stamp added.

This bayonet was originally manufactured by Remington for the British during WW1 but due to shortages of bayonet for the United States, Remington re-directed all undelivered British production to the U.S military for their own use in WW1.
Bayonet with original clean finish to blade, some light rust to hilt and bottom of scabbard.


WWII No1 Mk1 P1907 Bayonet by Wilkinson dated 1942

A scarce world war two production No1 Mk1, 1907 pattern bayonet.

The 17 inch sand blast finish blade is stamped at the ricasso with crown over 1907 and W.S.C (Wilkinson Sword Company) and '42' (1942).

Wilkinson were the only contractor to make P.'07 bayonets in world war two.

Complete with black leather scabbard.

Good condition.

An original 1950's British Policeman's truncheon stamped with the number 1601.
