Smith & Wesson Model 2 Old Army .32 Rimfire Revolver This is a .32 Smith & Wesson model 2 revolver also known as the Smith & Wesson “old army” revolver.
The 15.5cm octagonal steel barrel is stamped SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MASS., the cylinder stamped PATENTED APRIL 3 1855, JULY 5 1859 & DEC. 18 1860, with tip-up frame for loading, sheath trigger and walnut grip scales
There is no play in the tip-up hinge when locked and there is a good proportion of original bluing remaining.
Serial Number 71180.
