This is a very good original 1915 dated Imperial German Pattern 1898/05 Butchers Bayonet scabbard & leather frog for the Gew. 98 Mauser Rifle.

The ricasso is stamped with the rare maker details of ‘J.Corts Sohn Remscheid’ and their trademark.

The back spine of the blade is stamped ' W 15' (1915) with the Imperial Crown.

The blade is in excellent clean condition and the original wood grips are also very good.

The steel scabbard is dent free throughout.
Complete with original brown leather frog.

Very good example of this type of bayonet by a rare maker.
